What is the solution to the inequality −3x − 42 > 3 ?

Here is the solution:

-3x-42 > 3

Add the numbers
-3x > 45

Divide both sides of the inequation by -3 and flip the inequality sign.
x < -15

So the answer is: 
x < -15
