What two facts can you double to find 8x4?

4 is equal to 2*2 (double the 2 is 4)

We can get the value of 8*4 on two steps:
1- we multiply the 8 by 2
2- we add the result of the multiplication to itself

This is illustrated as follows:
8*2 = 16
16+16 = 32
